Ivaco Rolling Mills is one of North America’s largest producers of hot-rolled wire rod and continuous cast steel billets. As a manufacturer that delivers products on a global scale, they have some of the most up-to-date technology and manufacturing equipment.
Our goal with the Ivaco Rolling Mills project was to create a solution that was easy to use and had a modern feel. We wanted to deliver a product that would set the standard within their industry. We achieved all our goals with this forward-thinking site.
Strategy
Like many manufacturers, there was a disconnect with their website. It was old and dated, yet their facilities are state-the-art. Our mission was to change that perception and to build a site that strategically positioned Ivaco Rolling Mills as a world-class manufacturer. Typography is one of the strongest elements of the overall design. A well-balanced type hierarchy and strong, bold headlines guide the eye and invite the reader to learn more.

The site is designed with well-defined content blocks that clearly convey the subject matter. A nice amount of negative space and bold headlines make it a fantastic user experience.
The rolling schedule provides customers with key manufacturing information. As part of our development, we developed custom programming that pulls in this information automatically from their internal systems.
Ivaco Rolling Mills is a major manufacturer with more than 625,000 annual tons of steel billet capacity and more than 900,000 annual tons of wire rod capacity.
