The Challenge
While the content on their old site was quite good, the design looked dated. This resulted in users feeling that the company was out of touch with today’s technologies, which put the company at a competitive disadvantage. In addition, the client didn’t have control of the content as desired and wanted their new website to be much easier to add, edit or delete content.
Our Approach
As part of our strategy, job #1 was to deliver a more modern and attractive design. So, we designed each page of the site, carefully considering colors, typography, proportions, spacing and iconography. Collectively, this created a unique and interesting design. We complemented the design with modern scroll-triggered animations, creating a more immersive experience.
Design
The website featured strong pops of color combined with overlapping images and elements, creating a layered look and feel that grabbed the eye’s attention. The design also featured strong typography with ample spacing around headlines. Custom iconography was developed to complement the design. Subtle animations provided the final touch to make the user experience engaging.
Web Development
On the programming side of things, we built a custom WordPress site from scratch. As a custom build, the website has clean code and doesn’t have code bloat that is typically found on “off-the-shelf” page builders. In addition, we focused on giving the client as much control as possible over the content.
