DuPage Children's Museum is the place where early childhood learning and fun connect. Their mission is to ignite the potential of all children to learn through hands-on exploration by integrating art, math, and science into their exhibits and activities. They help children reach their full, unique learning potential.
For the website project, the goal was to develop an online experience that captured the culture of the museum while conveying the intersection of education and play. Like their exhibits, the site takes you on a journey where you can explore all they have to offer and head down a path of discovery.
Strategy
The museum is unique because they have many audiences and we needed to speak to each one. From visitors to sponsors to donors to volunteers, we created the site with in-depth pages that proved each particular audience with the information they desire. Well-placed calls to action encourage engagement and conversions while supporting pages and documents are a simple click away.
With vibrant colors, big engaging images, custom iconography, interactive animations and well-defined typography, perusing the site is a rewarding and visually inspiring experience. In addition, we were fortunate to have access to an excellent collection of custom photography. Throughout the website, we utilized beautiful images that captured the experience through the eyes of a child.

This website is a highly customized WordPress solution. From custom content sections to modular page templates, administrators enjoy fantastic power and flexibility.

In 2015 the DuPage Children's Museum suffered an incredible setback as a burst water pipe created significant damage. To their credit, the museum staff rallied and turned a negative into a positive as they made the museum an even better attraction for children and families.
